2025 APPLICATION CYCLE FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2026
This is the official site for Papua New Guinea Grade 12 school leavers and current non-school leavers (NSL students) applying for admission into registered in-country Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). By Law, the Department of Higher Education Research Science and Technology (DHERST) is mandated to facilitate a transparent efficient national admission of students into registered (PNG) higher education institution. The National Online Application System (NOAS) is the application portal for all applicants. DHERST encourages all prospective applicants to fully utilize this platform for potential selections and admission.
2025 National Selections for the Academic Year 2026 has been conducted. Students' access to NOAS account remains active. Students must check their NOAS MyStatus for updates. Students selected through National Admission Pool must also check their accounts to accept and or decline offers.
TODAY'S ANNOUNCEMENT: ACADEMIC YEAR 2026
1. ACCEPTANCE LETTERS: All formal Offer and Acceptance letters for new intakes will be communicated to the successful selected applicants through the Office of the HEI Registrar.
2. Registration Information: Successful selected students must check their emails and postal addresses for the HEI official Acceptance letter. Information in the letter shall include Registration details such as registration dates, and compulsory fees. Students must adhere to instructions regarding registration expected documents.
3. Government scholarship: Where a student has been selected for a TESAS eligible programme, the student may be eligible for GoPNG scholarship. GoPNG scholarship list for first year students should be published on the DHERST website by 19th January 2025, at 2pm. First year students are encouraged to check their NOAS MyStatus page, for advice regarding scholarship.
4. HELP: The GoPNG Higher Education Loan Program (HELP) cycle and application requirement will be communicated in March 2026. Interested applicants must ensure they meet all requirement including HEI registration status, prior to applying.
