 2026 APPLICATION CYCLE FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2027

CYCLE OPENS ON AUGUST 11th, 2026

This is the official site for Papua New Guinea Grade 12 school leavers and current non-school leavers (NSL students)  applying  for admission into registered in-country Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). By Law,  the Department of Higher Education Research Science and Technology (DHERST) is mandated to facilitate a transparent efficient national admission of students into registered (PNG) higher education institution. The National Online Application System (NOAS) is the application portal for all applicants. DHERST encourages all prospective applicants to fully utilize this platform for potential selections and admission.

The new Cycle for 2027 National Selections has commenced. Grade 12 students must consult their school principals and patrons to obtain NOAS login credentials Intending applicants, both Grade 12 school leavers and Non-school leavers are encouraged to:

1. Have access to their personal email account

2. Consult their patrons to check that their student information is correctly recorded.

3. Non-school leavers: Check institutional website for information regarding NSL Admission Tests

IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENTS

1. All current Grade 12 students will be issued NOAS login credentials by their school patrons.

2. Student login credentials are confidential. Do not share your details with any other person.

3. NSL Admission tests: Some programme prerequisite may require an entry admission test. Ensure you register and sit for the admission test if you wish to apply for that programme.

4. STAT-PNG is a prerequisite for Divine Word University Madang Campus programmes, PNG University of Technology programmes, Pacific Adventist University programmes and the University of Goroka programmes. STAT-P registration deadline is October 12th, 2026.

5. To register for STAT-P test, applicants must complete the NOAS MyData, and use programme choice to activate STAT-P registration option.

6. Non school leavers intending to apply for possible admission through NOAS must contact the DHERST to request for account activation instructions.

COMING SOON: NOAS BI-LATERAL APPLICATION- CYCLE OPENS ON SEPTEMBER 17th 2026

Commencing September 17th 2026, the NOAS Bi-Lateral application portal will be available for Solomon Islands and Republic of Vanuatu prospective undergraduate applicants.

More information regarding Bi-Lateral applications will be communicated on September 7th 2026 onwards.
